Designer Sofas

Learn more about designer sofas, whether you are prefer for a modern or leather fabric.

In general, consumers think that purchasing designer sofas has to be a costly expense.  This is not necessarily true, however.  Of course, there are very expensive designer sofas that can be purchased by people with a high budget to spend, but there are also designer sofas available on the less expensive side.  Fortunately

One great place to look for cheap designer sofas is at a discount furniture store.  Some great discount furniture stores include Raymour and Flannigan, Jennifer Convertible, JC Penny and Gothic Cabinet.  If you live in the New England area, then Bob’s Furniture store is also a great option to find discount designer sofas.

Many people think that they sacrifice quality in their sofa if they purchase at a discounted furniture store, but this does not have to be the case.   Often times with designer sofas, many manufacturers end up making more pieces of a particular item than the stores end up needing.  As a result, they have leftover furniture pieces left over.  They manufacturers will then sell the excess designer sofas at a discounted price to stores like those which were previously mentioned, and a result, the stores are able to sell the designer sofas the consumers at a lower price.  As a consumer, you should take advantage of the prices that major discount furniture stores may be offering luxury designer sofas.

There are a few things you should decide prior to purchasing a name brand sofa.  First, you should contemplate whether you prefer a sofa with cushions attached to the sofa or separated.  There are advantages to both types of pillows.  When the cushions are attached, require less maintenance, while unattached cushions require turning over every once in a while and fluffing.  Unattached cushions are great though because if you permanently stain one side of a cushion, you can always turn it over.

There are other aesthetic considerations to take prior to looking at designer sofas.  It is a good idea to decide what type of fabric you want your designer sofa to be.  Two of the most popular fabric types are leather and chenille.  Both have their advantages; it is common for leather sofas to have the cushions sewed in to the couch.  You should decide how many cushions you want on your couch.  Two and three cushion designer sofas are most common, but you may also want to look at one-cushion sofas.  One-cushion sofas are usually made with leather and have an ultra modern, sleek look.

Of course, it is always a good idea to should have some sort of product guarantee with your designer sofa.  You will likely be spending a decent amount of money on a sofa, and you want the piece of mind in knowing that your purchase is protected, if the sofa has an issue like a spring sticking out, or just ends up not being comfortable.  Many stores will not give you your money back if you return a sofa, but will provide you with a store credit.  This is why it is so important to test out designer sofas prior to buying one and make sure it is comfortable for whoever will be sitting on it.
